What You Can Expect
Enjoy a Nile Cruise and see many of the highlights along the Nile. Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrive in Aswan. Upon arrival be met and assisted by a representative and your guide. Excursion tour to visit, Philae Temple (The Temple of Isis is one of the greatest Temples in Egypt and it occupies about a quarter of the island. It is the main Temple on the island, with its huge, complete, pylons and beautiful scenes), High Dam. One of the most outstanding architectural achievements of the twentieth century. It was constructed to replace the old Aswan dam built in 1902. The High dam Visitors can easily locate lake Nasser which is a huge water reservoir. Transfer to Nile Cruise and embark on your boat to check in. Lunch on board Sail to Kom Ombo. Afternoon Tea. Dinner & Overnight on board
Day 2:
After breakfast, Visit the Kom-Ombo Temple (Located in Kom Ombo town, 45 km north of Aswan. It is built on a hillside overlooking the Nile. This temple was constructed in the Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. It is noted for relief engravings on its walls which show ancient surgical tools, bone saws and dentistry tools. Nearby there are three mummified crocodiles. Sail to Edfu. After Tea time. By horse carriage you will visit the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Sail to Luxor. Dinner & Overnight in Luxor.
Day 3:
Breakfast Luxor. Disembarkation and departure from the cruise. Visit the West Bank including: Valley of the Kings. Next, visit the temple built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490–1469 B.C). Hatshepsut is the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt. Make a short stop at the Colossi of Memnon, where the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III lie. Then, head to the East Bank in Luxor. Continue your tour at the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of a site of worship in history. Dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, Karnak remains the second most popular attraction in Egypt after the Pyramids of Giza. The last stop on your tour is the Temple Of Luxor, built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom, and completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty. Drop off in Luxor.
