What you can expect

Day 1:

You will be met at Cairo airport and transfered to your hotel.
Overnight Cairo.

Day 2:

Your tour in Egypt begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Your Giza tour includes a short camel ride.
You will continue on to visit the stepped pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, the oldest stone structure in the world.
You will complete your tour with a visit to the former capital at Memphis
Overnight Cairo.

Day 3:

Breakfast at your hotel, transfer by AC mini van to Alexandria city and visit Catacombs Pompeii’s PillarRoman theater, The Alexandrian Library, lunch along the the Corniche, if time allows it, Montazah palace and Fort Qait Bey then transfer back to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor.
You will be collected from Luxor Airport and transfered to your hotel.
Overnight Luxor.

Day 4:

Embarkation in Luxor for a relaxing week sailing the Nile on an appointed dahabiyya.
After lunch, excursion to visit the magnificent temple complex of Amon-Ra at Karnak, with its vast hypostyle hall of 137 columns, followed by the imposing 28th, Dynasty Luxor Temple.
Karnak is a complex of temples built in different reigns, which beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt.

After Karnak you will be brought to Luxor Temple, which is dedicated to the Theben Triad of Amun-Ra, Mut and Khonsu. There you will see the granite statues of Ramses the Great. These ancient temples are a must-see for Luxor travelers.

Day 5:

You will visit the West Bank for visits to the burial places of the Pharaohs – the Valley of the Kings, the most famous concentration of royal tombs. This is where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankamon in 1922.

After visiting the tombs you will be transported to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the Temple of Ramses III – Medinat Habu and the Colossi of Memnon, the two largest ancient statues in Egypt, which date back to the era of King Amenhotep III.
Sail on the way to Esna.
Overnight nearby Esna.

Day 6:

After breakfast, commence sailing to Edfu.
Overnight moored beside a Nile island in Edfu

Day 7:

Today you will visit the wonderfully preserved Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god.
Overnight moored beside Maneeha island in Kom Ombo and dinner in the island.

Day 8:

Visit El Silsila optional.
Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek.
Overnight moored beside a Nile island in Aswan.

Day 9:

A leisurely sailing to Aswan and moored nearby Aswan Bridge

Day 10:

Today you will visit the Aswan High Dam completed in 1971; the Old Dam completed in 1902.
You will also visit the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, a structure rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser at the time of the High Dam’s construction.
Overnight dahabeya

Day 11:

Breakfast aboard the dahabeya followed by disembarkation.
Optionally early morning tour to Abu Simbel
Transfer to Aswan Airport and fly back to Cairo
Overnight Cairo

Day 12:

Visit to the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Khan El Khalili Market, the oldest market in Egypt.
Overnight Cairo

Day 13:

Transfer to Cairo Airport
